A New Chapter Begins for Countdown Publishing

We're excited to share some incredible news: Countdown Publishing has been selected to receive funding through the UpStart Cocoa Small Business Program.

This investment marks an important milestone in our journey as a creative media company dedicated to publishing original stories, supporting independent creators, and expanding creative opportunities throughout Cocoa and the Space Coast.

What Is UpStart Cocoa?

The UpStart Cocoa Small Business Program is an initiative designed to help entrepreneurs establish and grow successful businesses within the City of Cocoa. Through funding, business mentorship, and strategic guidance, the program invests in businesses that contribute to the city's economic development and long-term success.

We're honored that Countdown Publishing was selected as one of those businesses.

What This Means for Countdown Publishing

This funding will help us continue building Countdown Publishing into more than a publishing company.

Our vision has always been to create a creative ecosystem where stories are developed, creators are supported, businesses receive marketing solutions, and young people discover the power of storytelling.

The funding, along with participation in the weVENTURE IGNITE 360® Business Mentoring Program, will help us strengthen our business foundation while expanding our ability to serve the community. Over the coming months, we'll be investing in areas that support long-term growth, including:

• Expanding awareness of Countdown Publishing and Countdown Marketing Services

• Promoting our comics, books, educational programs, and creative services

• Increasing community outreach through workshops and events

• Strengthening our operations through business mentoring and strategic planning

• Continuing to build partnerships with local schools, libraries, nonprofits, creators, and small businesses

At Countdown Publishing, we believe stories have the power to educate, inspire, and bring communities together.

Whether we're publishing an original comic like Viroco!, creating children's books like Happy Home!, developing new intellectual property, or helping local businesses grow through marketing, our goal remains the same: to create opportunities through creativity.

This milestone brings us one step closer to our long-term vision of establishing a creative hub in Cocoa where readers, writers, artists, entrepreneurs, educators, and businesses can collaborate, learn, and grow together.
